Dubai South is a premium project of the Dubai Government and will extend over 140 square kilometres of land. It follows the Government’s overall strategy to significantly boost the Emirate’s transport and logistics services, capitalize on its geographical location and make Dubai an even stronger international trading and commercial hub.

This is excellent news for the whole MENA region. H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Aviation City Corporation, says: “Dubai South consolidates Dubai’s position as a major international logistics hub. It establishes a strategic link to global markets and plays a crucial role in meeting the present and future needs of Dubai’s aviation, tourism, trade and logistics sectors. Moreover, Dubai South demonstrates the Dubai Government’s commitment to support key industry players such as Mohebi Logistics by providing the right combination of world-class infrastructure and value-added services.”

Leading logistics firms such as Aramex, Kuehne & Nagel, Panalpina, Hellmann Caliper, INL, and RSA Logistics have already committed to taking space in Dubai South. We’ll be joining them as a leading Emirati company. This is a highly significant move, as international FMCG companies will profit from our rich lode of local knowledge.

Mohammed Mohebi, Mohebi Logistics CEO, says: “We are proud and excited at the prospect of becoming a strategic partner of Dubai South and a key contributor to Dubai’s continued economic growth. It is important that Emirati talent and know-how offered by home-grown companies are developed to support our leadership’s vision of creating a knowledge-based economy. Dubai South will play a critical role in showcasing both Emirati talent and corporate capabilities, which in my opinion is crucial in serving our national interests.”

Mohebi Logistics, a subsidiary of Mohebi Investments and an affiliate of the Zainal Mohebi Group, is investing up to AED 350 million to build the new facilities. Upon completion, we estimate to have approximately 110,000 pallet positions, expanding our storage and logistics facilities by almost double to better serve our regional and global clientele. Construction of the headquarters and temperature-controlled warehousing will be undertaken in two phases.

This development forms part of an overall AED 1 billion investment that Mohebi Investments has earmarked to establish itself as a major regional logistics player. In addition, the Zainal Mohebi Group will consolidate its FMCG operations by also locating in Dubai South. The objective is to achieve a lean and efficient retail distribution business that can take full advantage of Dubai South’s infrastructure, multi-modal transport accessibility, dedicated services and facilities.
