Banvit, a leading Turkish producer of chicken, turkey and red meat products, is launching its sales activities in the UAE with the appointment of Baqer Mohebi Est. (BME) as the agency distributor. Mohebi Logistics is assisting its sister company as the supply chain experts.
New line of meat products
Banvit has signed an agreement with both branches of the Zainal Mohebi Group – BME and Mohebi Logistics – for the storage and distribution of its food products across the UAE. The product range includes chicken, turkey and red meat products, coated meat products, small pastries and burgers.
The Turkish company has defined the Middle East as a major export market, with the Emirates serving as the launching pad. Banvit expects to find strong market appeal here since the choice is wide and all products are strictly supervised for Halal certification.
Erdem Sayit, General Manager of their newly-established Dubai office, is confident: “We started to work with Baqer Mohebi and Mohebi Logistics very recently. I strongly believe that their expertise will help us to grow our business in the UAE and reach our ambitious sales targets. What makes this association unique from my perspective is Mohebi’s quick and practical response when an inquiry is raised or a specific solution needs to be found.”
Covering the complete supply chain
Mohebi’s responsibility covers all stages from receiving the frozen products (-18°C) in refrigerated containers at Dubai Port and undertaking all customs and Ministry of Health clearance procedures to storage, order administration and distribution.
BME is responsible for the overall sales and marketing aspects for the Banvit product range throughout all sectors of trade in the UAE. Special care will be taken to maintain the cold chain at all times.
“It’s an excellent example of how different parts of the Mohebi Network can integrate for the customer’s benefit”, comments BME General Manager Houssain Siadat.
Banvit has been active for 45 years and has the largest production capacity of poultry meat under one roof in the Turkish food industry. The UAE is the company’s first significant export potential investment market after Romania, which it successfully entered a decade ago.
